Georgia Mooney is one of Australia’s foremost songwriters and vocalists. As one quarter of All Our Exes Live in Texas, she has toured Australia, the UK, the United States and Europe multiple times, playing festivals, showcases and headline shows alike.
Critically acclaimed the world over, the band won both the 2017 ARIA award and the 2017 AIR Award for Best Blues & Roots Album for their debut, ‘When We Fall’, as well as Folk Act of the Year at the National Live Music Awards and at the AU Review Awards. They’ve been nominated for APRA Song of the Year and shortlisted in the Vanda & Young songwriting competition.
All Our Exes Live in Texas are festival favourites, having played almost every folk festival in Australia a few times over and garnered rave reviews at SXSW Festival, Americanafest, The Great Escape and Folk Alliance International.
The Exes have become known for their many and varied collaborations, crossing genre boundaries and sharing the stage with The Backstreet Boys, Midnight Oil, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Megan Washington, Kate Miller-Heidke, Neil Finn, Boy & Bear, Marlon Williams, Tiny Ruins, St Paul & The Broken Bones and many more. Last year the Exes also provided backing vocals for Kesha’s multi-platinum selling comeback single “Praying”.
As a solo artist, Georgia has a reputation as a remarkable performer and a sort after session vocalist and musician, recording for television, film and on many songwriters’ albums in a variety of genres. Georgia was the backing vocalist for UK artist Passenger for a number of years, touring around Australia as part of the band and recording on three albums including on the hit single “Let Her Go” which went to number one in over 15 countries.
Georgia has toured Australia and performed or collaborated with many artists including Matt Corby, Passenger, Kate Miller-Heidke, Tim Rogers, Urthboy, Colin Hay, Ben Salter, Davey Lane, Marlon Williams, Oh Pep!, Dan Kelly, Tim Freedman, Jenn Grant, The Once, Tripod, Paul McDermott and Katie Noonan.
